Illustrations and typography where created cleverly in order for it to be applied successfully for screen printing purposes. To bring the campaign to life, applying a screen printing process, all the posters were made by hand with a using nothing but birdseed and non-toxic glue. These posters were placed in various public spaces in and around Cape Town, to be viewed/photographed/tweeted by passersby. Once out in the world, the seeds would fall off over time, subsequently making the imagery disappear and perfectly illustrating just how life at World of Birds would fade away if the food ran out.
We also saw a need to help them out even more and decided to do a type of guerrilla marketing stunt that would encourage people to help feed the birds – simply by visiting the sanctuary. We recreated our message and images in various public spaces in and around Cape Town.
